CBSA Lansdowne - Possible Distruption

Saturday, June 17th Canada Border Services Agency will be moving to a new facility at their Landsdowne, Ontario location. This may cause disruption of service at this location. Also, due to construction at some access points at this crossing, traffic movement may also be slow.

On May 8, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) communicated that they were experiencing network issues which impacted some ACE applications, including AES (Automated Export System) and Entry Summary. This may have resulted in your drivers experiencing some service delays.

CSMS# 17-000263 - Network issues affecting ACE Applications, May 8, 2017
CBP is currently experiencing some network issues that are impacting some ACE applications in the Production and Certification environments, including AES (Automated Export System), Entry Summary, Queries.

CSMS# 17-000265 - ACE Production Maintenance

Due to infrastructure maintenance in the ACE Production environment today, Monday, May 8th, 2017, database connectivity and EDI message queues will be unavailable from 1400 to 1420 ET. Any trade EDI messages will be queued and will process upon availability of the ACE system resources.

This CBP downtime caused a backlog of entries to be processed and drivers experienced service delays for several hours beginning at 11:30 EST today. Livingston’s Driver Contact Center shared all information we had received from CBP with carriers who were checking on the status of their shipment.

Additionally, CBP has notified us that there will be another outage tomorrow morning.

CSMS# 17-000261 - ACE Production Outage of Entry Summary, Tuesday, May 9, 2017 0500-0700

Please be advised that there will be an ACE PRODUCTION Outage of ACE Entry Summary EDI processing and ACE Entry Summary UI (user interface) screens (for CBP users) Tuesday morning, May 9, 2017 from 0500 to 0700 due to infrastructure maintenance. Any entry summary EDI messages awaiting processing will be queued until the system becomes available.
